After graduating from Pearl Academy, New Delhi, She was about to embark on a new career: Accepting a job offer. After completing her Master's in Fashion and Textile , She got her first job through Campus placement.
She lined up a position as a creative designer at a chocolate manufacturing company (Celeste Chocolate) She never knew this was going to be a nightmare for her working with them.Work environment and culture were daunting, people were joining every other day and splitting. There was a lady who portrayed herself a CEO of the company treated her employees like a slave. she was yelling at everyone, getting terribly frustrated at times appeared she was going though an emotional and psychological trauma. Believe me she really needed to see a psychiatrist.
Worst of all the company was going through a poor payment schedules, they pay by instalments that lost my wife's interest in working for them. Finally she decided to quit her job after tolerating one month.
Later one day we decided to visit company's HR to get her full and final done. Management/HR returned her certificates which they possessed at the time of onbording and promised to pay only 15 days salary in the next month since it was a case of immediate resignation. We also agreed to their proposal and waited patiently until next month so that she could get her salary credited but unfortunately that never happened. We didn't know we were deceived, it was a false promise made to us. we kept calling and following up with the company's HR however they never responded to us.
Three Months later she got another job offer as a Designer from an Export company on probationary period - It is a period of engaging an employee to test his/her performance on the suitability of a position.Till date she is enjoying her carrier and hopefully she should continue doing the same for years to come.
Let me ask how you could have handled this situation differently if you were at my wife's position at Celeste Chocolate? Your valuable inputs will be highly appreciated
